Terms of Service

Draft — not yet in effect. Last updated: pending legal review.

This is draft content provided as a starting point. Sections marked "Needs legal review" require business-specific review by a qualified attorney before this page is relied on.

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the TheRingShield website and AI phone answering service. By using the website or service, you agree to these Terms.

Needs legal review: insert the contracting legal entity and confirm how customers accept the Terms (e.g. order form or click-through).

2. The service

TheRingShield provides an AI agent that answers calls forwarded by a customer business, collects information from callers, and sends a structured lead report by email. The service does not dispatch technicians, schedule appointments, quote prices or make commitments on the customer's behalf.

3. Customer responsibilities

Customers are responsible for configuring call forwarding, for the accuracy of business information provided to us, and for following up on leads.

Needs legal review: confirm customer obligations regarding caller notice and consent for AI-answered and recorded calls.

4. AI-generated content

Lead reports, summaries and any lead quality indicators are generated automatically and may contain errors. Customers should verify important details directly with the caller.

5. Fees and billing

Fees, billing terms and any trial terms are set out in your order or plan details.

Needs legal review: add payment terms, renewal, cancellation and refund policy.

6. Availability

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee that every call will be answered or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Needs legal review: confirm whether any service level commitment applies.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, TheRingShield is not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect damages arising from use of the service, including missed or misreported calls.

Needs legal review: attorney to draft liability cap, indemnification and disclaimer language.

8. Governing law

Needs legal review: specify governing law, venue and dispute resolution terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
